The Dog Bus introduced the concept of out of town walks well before Covid. It was built around giving dogs more than just exercise. It focused on enrichment, variety and structured outdoor time.

The founders of Canine Trex, Jake and Anna were previously part of The Dog Bus team. They left by mutual agreement and launched their own service built around a similar idea. They have been successful in creating a great service based over those provided by other dog walkers.

Today, both businesses offer adventure-style dog walks.

Canine Trex focuses on the walk itself.

The Dog Bus combines adventure walks with a full day experience in one of their two dog daycare centres.

Both choose carefully selected locations such as woodland trails, open countryside, hills and seasonal destinations. Each trip is planned around the dogs attending.

Key focus areas:

• Physical exercise that suits the dog
• Mental stimulation through new environments
• Safe group interaction
• Structured handling and supervision
• A balance between activity and downtime

Many dogs benefit from this structure. They return home settled, tired and mentally satisfied.

The Dog Bus suits owners who want:

• A longer day of care
• More structured enrichment
• A mix of walking, play and rest
• A consistent routine

Neither approach is wrong. It depends on what your dog needs and what fits your routine. Some dogs thrive on full day care, others suit shorter, focused walks.
